In Malaysia, the construction industry is a pivotal driver of economic growth, shaping the nation’s infrastructure, urban development and global competitiveness. As a key sector that underpins economic resilience and societal advancement, the construction industry demands a strategic approach to workforce development and skills enhancement.
Recognising the critical importance of this sector, HRD Corp has developed the IndSF Construction document to serve as a complementary guide for the construction industry. This initiative is designed to address workforce challenges, foster professional excellence and ensure the industry remains agile and future-ready in the face of evolving demands and global standards.
The IndSF Construction document was successfully developed in 2024 in collaboration with:
Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB)
Master Builders Association Malaysia (MBAM)
The Institution of Engineers, Malaysia (IEM)
The first edition of IndSF Construction established a comprehensive framework with three key focus areas:
- Project Management (Contractor) with 6 Job Positions
- Healthcare Facilities Management with 5 Job Positions
- Facilities Management with 5 Job Positions
16 job positions
within the Construction Skills Qualification Framework (CSQF)
